About World Down Syndrome Day
21 March 2013 marks the 8th anniversary of World Down Syndrome Day, a global awareness day which has been officially observed by the United Nations since 2012. Each year the voice of people with Down syndrome, and those who live and work with them, grows louder.
Down Syndrome International encourages our friends all over the World to choose your own themes, activities and events to help raise awareness of what Down syndrome is, what it means to have Down syndrome, and how people with Down syndrome play a vital role in our lives and communities.
About GiGi’s Playhouse and the one million voices champaign
It’s a gallery.
It’s a national movement.
It’s a campaign designed to propel people to action.
To see past a diagnosis of Down syndrome to a life meant to be. And we won’t stop until we reach one million new voices sharing a universal message of acceptance.
The one million voices galleries will travel across the nation in public venues, changing perceptions one person at a time until we reach one million new voices.
If you are interested in performing at one of the open times above contact Lilly Juno, inworld.
More on this tomorrow,
